In memory of Ulrich Kautz (1939-2020)

We mourn the passing of Ulrich Kautz, who died on August 7, 2020 at the age of eighty. He was one of the founding members of our association and was elected its first chairman in 1990. Apart from his work as a university lecturer, he rendered outstanding services as a productive translator of contemporary Chinese literature. We will always honour his memory. For an obituary written by Peter Kupfer for "Minima Sinica" we refer to the preprint publication here.
